StarCards Tennis Charity Auction 2008

StarCards are delighted to present our annual collection of Tennis memorabilia and signed playing cards. The auction will be held during the last days of the 2008 Wimbledon Championships from Tuesday 2nd July for 10 days finishing on Friday 11th July.

The Sony Ericsson WTA Tour are our longest supporters and we are truly grateful for their continued support and commitment. As usual each item is completely unique and hand signed by the players on the WTA tour to support the wonderful work of the Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity in London.

We started collecting celebrity signatures on Great Ormond Street playing cards as well as various photographs, posters and programmes in 2002. Now in 2008 we are excited to be able to bring you more of our latest offerings. Many of these have been signed at the hospital when these celebrities give up their own personal time for private, unannounced visits. They are not reported in the press because they are not done for publicity purposes. Other cards have been signed through management and show business contacts.

We would like to take this opportunity of thanking every single celebrity who has signed a playing card for us and everyone who successfully bid on our previous auctions. We would also like to thank the various photographic companies who have supplied us the photographs free of charge to mount with our signed playing cards. They are always mentioned individually in each auction. Our professional framing is done by the UK's leading memorabilia framing specialist's, Football In Focus now present the StarCards items to the highest quality. And lastly we would like to thank the various celebrity's websites and others who have publicised our auctions and help raise the final bids by so doing.

Every card has been handsigned. WE DO NOT SELL PREPRINTS, FACSIMILES OR PHOTOCOPIED SIGNATURES. ALL of the proceeds of your winning auction bid will go to directly to the Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity by means of this STARCARDS auction.
